Interview with the Tutor:
What brought you to the Czech Republic, and what made you to join EUFRAT team? I fell in love with a Czech guy who I met in Thailand where I was a high school English teacher at that time. We then got married and agreed that it might be better to start our family here in the Czech Republic. Having passion for teaching, I was recommended by my Czech-English interpreter to apply for a teaching job at EUFRAT. I decided to give it a try because I’ve learned from everyone I know here that EUFRAT is the best language school in Pilsen.
What is, in your opinion, the mission of a language tutor? I think the most important thing is that to make the learning fun and effective, to help the students enjoy learning and to make progresses.
What would your students say about you? For many years of teaching English, I’ve got really good feedback from my students that they enjoyed my classes and learning with me is always fun, relax and at the same time they get to learn a lot. They appreciated my efforts on providing and preparing the instructional media and fun activities which help them learn better. What I have received from my students is what I consider as a lifetime bonus, I love to know that they enjoyed and get improved.
And how would you describe your students? All my students are unique and smart. I believe all of them are smart and it is the teacher’s work to figure out how to help and guide them to their best. Since I have been teaching various ages, I can say that my students are my helpers. To teach them I must learn their different learning processes and that bring me more fun to create the lessons and to teach in many different methods.
Is there a lasting lesson you hope students take from your classes? I am pretty sure I did, many of my students have learned that it’s very easy to learn and to use English in their daily life. I hope my future students will get that too. The attitude is what I always hope they will take from my classes.
What is, according to you, the best thing about EUFRAT? The atmosphere is one of the keys. I remember Marketa told me that the most importing is that the lesson should bring some fun to the students. That is exactly what I believe in teaching, students learn best when they find it fun to learn.
Is there a message you would like to send to your future students? English is easy and fun. I am looking forward to helping you have all the fun learning.
